Hi I am doing my front 60k maintainence on my 92 MTX pretty soon. My question is how much will a shop charge me to put in the following; New waterpump, CPS, cam seals, main seal, timing belt, timing belt tensioner and a new set of Under drive pulleys. I was thinking it might be relatively cheap since all the parts are located in the same area. I just wanted to get any of ya'lls estimates so I don't get ripped off. Thanks a million.

well the shop will combine alot of the labor but it will not be cheap
reman water pump $60
cam seals $12-$20
CPS $60
front main $10-15
timing belt $30
labor would be at least 4.0hrs@$50-$100 per hr

Timing Belt - PN: 95248 - AZ $21.99
Water Pump - PN: P1393 - AZ $44.99
CPS - PN: SU242 - AZ $56.99
Crank/Main Seal - PN: 710220 - AZ $6.75
Cam Seals - PN: 1213N $5.99 ea - $18
Timing Belt Tensioner - $60
UDP's - ?

That's about $208 in parts minus the UDP's. I think you'll have a hard time finding a shop that'd be willing to do that work. You looking at an easy $600 in total, which is a pretty rough estimate based on 4 hours of labor at $75 per hour, and $300 in parts. You'd be alot better off doing it yourself, because you'd be able to do a FULL 60K plus extras in that price range.

You forgot the acc belts, thermostat, rad cap,WP&crossover tube 'O' rings & coolant. Labor on a frt 60K will be at least $5-600 & its an 6-8 hour job if removing crank dampner & doing all the seals.

yeah do it yourself... its very easy straight foward and so many guides out there. plus it helps you know your SHO better so you dont get dicked later on down the road by a mechanic.
in my opinion i think the SHO is one of the easiest cars to work on.
i personally changed almost every single part on my car except the fuel pump. i changed my interior and made my 3.2 atx into a mtx with new dynomax exhaust, sturts, coils.... well you get the idea... but now i know everything i could probley ever need about my car.
good luck with it... id say roughly 4 hours tops to do it by yourself, and id recomend doing a top 60k while your there since you dont wanna overlook your shims as when they go bad they screw up performance pretty good.

Holy ****, you just reminded me why I tackled this job myself.

Maybe not the easiest, but once you know your way around the motor, then yeah it isn't as bad.

Thanks guys, I found a shop tha has worked on SHO's in the past and he said he can put in my waterpump, cps, timing belt, cam seals, timing belt tensioner and under drive pulleys all for $250 and he says all of his work is guaranteed. Yeah I spent alot of money on al of my parts, close to $600 bucksl; $180 OEM water pump, $234 UDP, $65 timing belt tensioner, $26 timing belt, $50 CPS, $20 cam seals, $8 main seal, so any money I can save on install is great. Thanks for all of your help and I hope everything turns out well for me.
