How much suction?

How much suction should there be at the port that the egr valve
bolts up too? Same as the port for the fuel vapor purge hose that
is near it?

I don't think so. They have different venturi openings. If you're not getting much vacuum at the EGR port, it's because the tunnel is clogged with carbon buildup. There are two allen head socket screw plugs that can be removed to clean out the entire tunnel with BerryMan's and a stiff brush.

They should be near the same. Both are ~ 3/8" hole directly into the surge tank.
