There are still a few dealers locally that have new leftover 2010s. How much off MSRP should I be looking to get on a $44,775 car?

It's a shame u guys don't know some1 who works at ford to get u an A plan or X plan. Oh what a second, u know me. I can get u X plan but it may only be for a 2011. I'll give u an example. My car was 47k. A plan brought me down to 41, then they had 1500 rebate which brought it down to 39. Tax, tag, title and 1500 down, I ended up financing 39 and some change. So if they let u use and x plan, it will probably get u a couple grand off. Pm me if are able to use it and I'll provide u a x plan number

I bought my car on xplan. Was a **** of a deal too. Paid xplan minus the 1500 rebate minus 1000 for 0% ford financing.

I also paid $36 fully loaded back in May.

Listen first year projected depreciation I read was to be $7,500. Now we're past that even. Make the dealer eat most of that. Car rotting on a lot is not like a fine wine in a cellar.

I'll probably look for a used 2010 instead. The difference between a new 2010 and 2011 isn't that much and I've seen some real low mileage 2010 for $28k-$30k.

Mine was $47 msrp, used AAA pricing to get $1500 under invoice, less $3k rebate
= $37k , less my trade.

I put off the car purchase for a few months and I'm starting to look again. There are still quite a few new 2010's out there. What's a good price on one now?

i just bought a used 2010 for 31k. 30k miles on it though.

Not sure what a new 2010 would be worth.

With used ones going for low 30s, I would say not over $35K. If you keep it for awhile you would be in good shape.

You guys are lucky. Here in Quebec, Canada, my car was tagged new at 53K$CDN plus taxes, which is about the same or even more in US$ back in February 2011 for a 2010 model fully load except adaptive cruise control. I ended up buying a used one with 22K miles on it for 35.5K$+taxes... And I tought I had a good deal lol! Still, for that price I could barely get a new Focus (31K$+taxes)! IMO, I am 1000% happier with a one year old SHO than a new Focus. Not that the Focus is a bad car, but it doesn't compare at all!

Yup. Cars are still way more expensive in Canada :frown:

My car stickered for over $53K. I got a great deal last year and only paid $44K but that was because at the time I was "dating" the GM's daughter at that particular Ford store.... heh heh :boink:

But still, that price would be total crap in the States

I would still consider the new 2010 over a used one. What's a good deal? Hard to say. I guess it depends on you. If you consider it a good deal, then roll with it. Regardless of what you pay, someone will always say; "Wow, you paid too much." Remember a dealer is not going to lose money on the car. My best advise is to decide what you want to pay, and then make an offer of 2K below that. You can't get a great deal unless you ask for one. So making a very low offer of isn't going to insult the salesperson. Besides, their counter offer may be better then you expected. Also, if you are financing, don't just settle for the interest rate they quote you, ask for at least 1-1.5% lower. Heck, even if they only get you a loan that's 1/2% lower, it's still money in your pocket. Good luck.

I bought mine a couple months ago - Used 2010 with 25K miles. It is super clean, and is fully loaded with nav, sunroof, heat/cool/massage seats and 20" wheels. I paid $29,900 plus tax. That was about 3K cheaper than each of the other comparably equipped cars in my region.
