Step one: remove AX4N.

Step two: get MTX and install drain plug in the bottom

Step three: sell your extra kidney for a Quaife or wavetrac

Step Four: install Quaife into MTX

Step five: Install MTX.

forgot a couple steps but I fixed it for ya

another good way is to give it to Nik97, if it lasts 5 good hard passes that transaxle is bulletproof.

The tuner was the best thing I ever did to mine. 2 years gone by with a tcc problem being held together with Pauls tune. Cooler a plus and remove 5/16 steel lines and install 3/8 fittings and rubber hose. Also installed Schaffer's synthetic fluid and temps dropped 50 degrees in July.

You guys have it all wrong...

Wrong MTX that is :munch::munch:

Only that weak POS diff in the MTX-IV is the worry.

But the best upgrade for the ATX is removing it that is for sure.

Step one pick up your diff pin and hand it to you for a key chain.

J/K

In all seriousness, the single biggest "mod" for an automatic tranny is to keep that fluid cool!!! A big cooler and possibly a fas as well.
