Mine runs up to the R in traffic, and then the fan kicks it down to the M to A. If im moving pretty good on the highway or something it tends to float around the M, prob due to the extra air flow. The R seems to be like a halfway point on the gauge, i was just wondering what everyone elses run

Mine runs about the same...if I am sitting in a drive-thru or something, it gets up between the O and the R before the fan kicks on. When crusing down the highway, its stays at about the M.

Sounds about right. Keep in mind these gauges are not the most accurate :)

My thermostat opens/keeps the coolant right between the M and A when highway driving, ect, and the fan will come an between the N and O.

NO NOT judge operating temperature by the dash guage.

These engines, like most of the same generation, are intended to operate in the 195-210 F range.

Use only an accurate temperature measuring device to determine if you have a cooling system concern.

with a 60/40 mix of H20/AF + WaterWetter I run between the M & A on the crappy dash gauge, and in stop and go i get up to between the O & R when the LPM proggy tells the fan to kick on.
