Way back before I got my car, I saw a black GenIII with blacked out front turn signals/parking lights on ebay. I thought it looked pretty cool, anyone ever niteshade the front signals, and if so got any pics?

Crix.. that car looks great, I would drive it around in the day right up til sunset just to mess with "Barney".

What grit of sandpaper do you use to smooth out the corners?

I can't remember which grit I used, but 500 or so, with 0000 steel wool afterward should work great.

Nightshades are fun when you do it right! I never sanded my tails, either. I never saw a need. What I did was clean the tails completely with rubbing alchohol (you won't imagine the dirt and grime you get off once you do that!).

After cleaning, make sure the tails are dry. I then did a special little doohickey in which I drew a picture of the TCCA bull and cut it out with painter's tape and stuck it on the middle of the tail lights (I used 2 per tail light... one for the parking/brake lights and one for the turn signal).

I sprayed 2 coats of night shade over the tail light with the tape in place, then after it dried, i took the tape off, sprayed the tail lights 2 more times without the tape on it.

After that dried, I sprayed 6 coats of clear on it. Ta-da!! Hidden images in your tail lights... I think they look sexy and you can still see the light coming from the tails as clear as day.

I had made a tutorial a while back on the TCCA, but for some reason it was never posted.
