Hey is there any place to get cheaper hood lifts than $16/ea from autozone? Are the 16$ the correct set? They appear to be. Am I better off going to a yard and picking up a pair to use for however long they last?

You can pick up a pair from a junkyard, but $16 for a pair at Autozone is about as good as you will get for new hood struts. I had to replace them on my SLO and it was so great to not have to use a block of wood that I was perfectly happy shelling out $20.
