replace your hood latch (hindge) or spray some WD40 over that , that happens due to grease and dust mixed toegther, and is like a glue which wont allow your hood to grab the hindge

good luck

Try a dry film lubricant with Teflon or some of that other fancy stuff in it, PTFE or whatever. Once the WD40 dries, it will be the same 'ol sticky latch again. And adjust your hood stops.

i went and baught some JB blaster ****, i soaked the hinge with it and it helped a little bit, but its still a pain to close. i might try and go find a new hood latch and see if that helps.

Use more. I would seriously do the spray the **** out of it (latch and the catch, and the cable with wd 40. Night and day difference with my car. I was having to slam the hood with 2 hands like I was having a fight with an ex girlfriend in order to close it. Now after wD magic, I can close it with 1 finger.

Have you tweaked the latch with all the slamming? Check the alignment. also if you do decide to replace the latch, grind the nubs off the back or else you wont have any alignment. The nubs go into 2 holes in the core support and thats it. I had to grind them off to align my hood after the core support pull.
