high idle

when i first start my 94mtx i idles around 1500 but after a minute or so it calms down to about 1000, is that normal

Yup, mine starts up at about 1300-1400 RPMS then settles to about 800-900 after a minute or so. I would not worry about it unless it starts to stay up there.
