high idle... sometimes

Okay...

For a while my car would do this bucking thing when i hit the gas... and idle really high every once and a while. SO I got a new Ford TPS, and the bucking has stopped. But now almost always when i come to a stop or start the car i idle around 1400-2100!

This ususally happens more often if I have to hit the brakes hard... like the car suddenly thinks that it should be running as fast as it just was.

I know that performance plus states that they adjust the TPS in the 60k tune up. I really don't know what that would be, isn't a TPS a solid state?

I really don't know but it really is getting annoying. Thanks to all!

Check for vaccum leaks near and around the canister for the seconderies behind the intake near the firewall.

You should check the TPS output voltage at idle. The voltage should be less than 1.0V. You can search for the correct wires to probe to check this voltage as I am sorry that I do not recall off the top of my head.

I read what he wrote a while back and adjusted mine. It's really really delicate, but it's really easy.
All you need is a multimeter, paperclip, and screwdriver.
