Got a new distributor for HIDs, and am getting a GREAT deal on them now and wanted to share the fortune. These are MAGNIFICENT kits...after running a trial set for almost a year, I've now put them on ALL of my cars. The ballasts are SUPER slim and can go just about anywhere. They don't have the overheating problem some of the older, larger ballasts had, and these are completely PLUG-N-PLAY kits....not extensive wiring...*all of you "classic" HID riders will know what I'm talking about.

I'm currently working on finding a company to manufacture true projector housings to really take advantage of these, but understand in our stock housings, THIS kit is not as obnoxious as some of the previous kits. Not sure exactly why, but even in my 91, I don't blind oncoming drivers the way older kits use to do. They do give the added benefit of an HID in non-projector housings without the annoyance.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Certification: E-Mark and ISO9001
Power Consumption: 35 watts
Voltage: 85 +/- 15V
Light Stabilization: 3 Seconds
Input Voltage: 9V-16V
Working Current (steady state): 3.2A nom
Ignition Voltage: 23kV
Defective Rate: 0.03%

FEATURES:
Slim ballast design to ensure quick and easy installation.
Digital ballasts w/ Advanced German Technology.
Digital technology will help prevent any damage to your electrical system.
100% waterproof, weather proof and vibration proof! You can submerge our balllasts in water.
100% plug and play, install in 15min and no cutting or modifying for most cars.
The installation is reversible, so you can take it off and put it on another car!
All kits are backed by an 18 month warranty on both the bulbs and ballasts.
We warranty out any parts, so same day replacements.
This hid kit will last 10x longer than your halogen and use 1/2 the power!
The capsule is precisely aligned maintaining the same focus as the halogen with 4-5 times more light.
The HID bulbs will fit exactly the same as your halogen!
This kit will include everything you need to convert your halogen into True hid like the luxury car

KIT CONTENTS:
2 x Xenon HID Bulbs
2 x Slim Digital Ballasts
All wires, connectors and installation hardware needed.
Installation Manual w/ Warranty Card

We currently stock these bulb temperatures:

color-temp-hid.jpg

3000K (GOLDEN YELLOW)
5000K (OEM-WHITE W/ YELLOW HUE)
6000K (WHITE W/ BLUE HUE)
8000K (LIGHT BLUE)
10,000K (BRILLANT BLUE)
12,000K (PURPLE)
30,000K (PINK)

Pricing:

Single Beam Kits: $100 + Actual Shipping

Dual Beam Kits: $150 + Actual Shipping

I'VE JUST GOTTEN A PRICE INCREASE FROM THE MANUFACTURER, SO THE PRICES WILL BE GOING UP...I'VE STILL GOT ABOUT 15 MORE KITS AT THIS PRICE SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, THIS WOULD BE THE TIME TO BUY!!!

As ALL of our cars come with the dual filament bulbs, you may intially think to go with the Dual Beam, but they ship VERY slowly, so there may be delays on those kits. ALSO, I've got the singles in all my cars, and they are plenty bright enough where a "High Beam" isn't really needed.

people interested in these kits should search the forums for the debate on them, i'mn ot going to get into much here

but

please don't buy anything over 6000k. light output is severely decreased. 4200 is a stock HID color temp. 5000 looks like HIDs that have been worn in for a few months.
anyone that tells you that light output with the higher color temps is equal is lying.

Again, the K rating of a bulb is NOT a measure of its OUTPUT; it is a measure of its COLOR. a 10,000K bulb is NOT brighter than a 4,300K bulb. In fact, due to the dissipative nature of high-frequency light, your eye will receive LESS light from it. I'm sure you know this, Matt, but there are a lot of people who simply don't understand this and go for the highest color bulb cos they equate color with light output. If you want maximum OUTPUT, stick with a 4,300K or 5,000K bulb. There is a very good reason OEMs don't put 12,000K bulbs in their cars from the factory - they certainly could if they wanted to.

Yeah I like the 10,000k but I actually might switch to 8,000k when these bulbs go out just cause the output factor. I'm also going to buy the 4,300k for my fog lights soon the stock bulbs suck for output, with my HID's I can barely tell my Fogs are on.

if i were you i'd get 3k for fogs... something about yellow/amber fogs is just sweet. and as for funtionality, i've had the chance to compare the exact same car (95 maxima) in fog, with both 4200k hids, and 3000, and the 3k's definitely increased visibility.

I may have to pick a set of these up.

Any idea of how much new light housings would cost for the gen 1 if it was possible to find someone to produce them?

WOW...there was alot that went on today while at the shop...let me see if I can cover all the valid concerns....

Houstino & Hawkeye are correct, the "xxxxxK" numbers doesn't denote brightness, it's a classification of color, HOWEVER, these are like the 5th or 6th Generation of aftermarket HIDs, Houstino...they higher colors, ie 5000K, 8000K, 10,000K and so on, are drastically more brilliant than before so you don't experience as great a drop-off in brightness as you go up.

Blacklable...my talks with the local manufacturer of projectors is still in the infant phase, so I have no idea of cost just yet, but I will keep you all abreast of what goes on.

SeanMc...I don't have much scatter on mine...again, as they've changed the styles and components of the lights, they've made great improvements in those ways. I'll take some pics of my cars and post them ASAP.

FYI, EVERYONE...I've got 3000K on my 91, 4200K on my 89, 8000K on my 96, and 12,000K on my Mazda 929 (yes, I wanted PURPLE), and the visibility is GREAT on all of them. The 3000K are actually the brightest, but down here in Atlanta where a surface street can go from well lit to COUNTRY DARK at the drop of a hat, they serve me very well!

:thankyou:

I would be intrested in a Dual beam kit (as you need a high beam for inspection), but I would really need to see some (detailed)pictures of output.

On the dual beam kits, are the highs just halogen? If they aren't, are they the same color as the low's?

Here are some pics of my 91 w/3000K, and my 96 w/8000K.

These should give you an idea of how they'd look on your cars respectively.
*NOTE:...my 96 housings are HORRIBLY yellowed, so understand those 8000Ks can be MUCH brighter than on my car*
My 89 and the Mazda are in a storage facility...no room to park them all at the new house without violating HOA bylaws...so, when I get to them, I'll take pics of them as well and post them.

Not sure exactly what you're asking for when you say "detailed pics of output", but I've got pics of the lights ON at night in the car...if that's detailed enough.

Also, on the Dual beam kit...it's just a dual filament (so to speak) HID bulb....just like the one you have in now, so they both will be HID and they both HAVE to be the same output color with the high beam just being more radiant.
