Okay I have HIDs for the headlamps but I'm not sure what "bulb and ballest" I need for the fogs. I went to extremehids.com and found that the fog bulbs are "893s". On extremehids they have a section called "800's" but I don't know if that will be the right ones for the fogs. Can anyone help me out please?

haha.. headlight housings are trash. agreed. i replaced them when i put in the HIDs when i got the car a whilllleee back.

but the fogs i never really cared about untill today for some reason and its bugging me. i can rebuild my engine twice but cant figure out what ballest/bulb to put in for the fogs.

i checked out that link. and there was nothing really that said anything about fogs.

I went the HID Fog light route the right way. I would have to say the stock fog/driving lights were just put there for looks as the reflector and lenses suck. All your going to do is get major glare to on coming traffic.
I used the Orsam x1010s they are simply amazing and produce a minim of glare.

On 2 SHOs that i had Xenon installed, i had stock housing first , but then i Realized that it wasn't that good for HID. I took the whole think out and put housing form , I think was either Galant of some kind of nissan. Had to cut some of the bumper but came out very good and didn't even need Xenon in my headlights. The second car i have right now, i installed blazer fog lamps, but put H1 HID in it, which is a lot better. stock lamps have plastiv lenses which gets darker with time and dirtier.

still need to figure out if i can get the 8000k hids to fit in the stock housings.. i just want a quick fix to the stock lights.

so its confermed that 893's are what they are... but will the 800 series on extremehids fit the stock housing or no?

Don't waste your money on the stock foglight housings unless you're into rice. Get some decent driving lights if you want to see.

Clean stock headlight housings are fine with some good bulbs and aftermarket harness.

Which bulbs do you use? 5400? and are the "sheilds" in place on yours?

Those lights are 4300k bulbs, the shields are out.
I also have a set on my crv they are 5400k and light output is less they were a good deal so I took them. I was also able to modify the shields in the CRV's fog to reduce glare and keep the same beam pattern as with them removed.

I need to get some new ones on my car.. never realized they were quite that much. As they are a spin off of Sylvania... I wonder if I could get these thru the local supply house.. :)

LoL.. no I realize they are discontinued... but I would imagine their only distributor would take the page down if they were out of stock. Then again the SHO shop site was up for a long time selling 3.6L engines.. :)

As you are well aware, just cause they're discontinued doesn't mean people are going to take the product down, Eibachs for example. Damn shame though, good products both Eibachs and the lights.
