Has anyone priced the 'Upper Complete Gasket Set' (E9DZ-6079-D) from FordPartsNetwork.com lately?? It went from $128 to $285 in the last six months!!

I tried to order the Fel-Pro gasket set from AutoZone and they are saying that they dont carry it anymore.

Any suggestions on where to get the plug well seals & valve cover gaskets for a reasonable price?

I just picked up a set from Kragen. It was the FelPro set and it cost me roughly 90 bucks. This was only 2-3 weeks ago. It did include the Spark Plug Well Seals.

Just went to their website and found the Fel-Pro set for $88.79 + shipping. I really didn't feel like shelling out $285 for the gaskets!

Thanks Anthony.

Autozone - Fel-Pro Valve Cover Gasket set #VS50378R (incl. plug well seals) - $71.99

Autozone - Fel-Pro Intake manifold gasket set #MS94831 (includes intake runner to head metal gaskets, all upper intake manifold gaskets exc. TB) - $45.99

Autozone - GP / Sorensen TB Gasket set - $4.99

Or, like Rob mentioned, use the ATX Upper Gasket Set from Josh at SHO Nut for the $150 range. If you need the 3.0L head gaskets, let Josh know & he'll try to match you up witih someone who bought the MTX gasket set but didn't need the head gaskets.

Go to AutoZone.com's site and look up the part for a 1991 SHO:

Home > Shopping > External Engine > Valve Cover Gasket

Hi,

I have a 1993 SHO w/ 3.2L Auto.

The guy at Autozone said the VS50378R part # is for the 3.0L not the 3.2L

Will the same kit fit either???
If not what part # do I need?????

Thanx,
ROB

There are a few cross referencing problems with the AutoZone data base. That Fel-Pro gasket set is good for all Gen I&II SHO's.

THANX Alot guys :) :)

I will order them today.
Anything else I will need to finish the job???
Anything else I should do while in there???

Also could a bad set of valve cover gaskets be causing smoke to come from the back of the firewall area??

DigDeez:
........and can you purchase the plug well gaskets separately?
Well, you can, but for more than the cost of the complete Fel-Pro set. Why bother?
