Hey, can anyone see what is missing in this picture?

Here is my engine bay cleaning in progress:

And I would love it if anyone could chime in on these pictures:

When I took this apart, one of the little rings fell off, but I noticed that a sleeve is missing (the only piece of that I have is the round, smooth metal piece). Is there a way it can be replaced or should I buy a new one?

Does the mastercylinder look right? I think for some reason I broke it. Thanks for your help!

Ha! I thought it would be something easily overlooked like that... I wonder if Shucks carries them? ;)

Any insight on the other two pictures? Oh, can anyone name this? My brother thinks it controls the cruise:

That last picture is the cruise control.

Looks like you're gonna need a new halfshaft from the middle picture.

And, aside from needing to slide the clamp on the hose from the resevoir to the ABS pump back into place, I don't see anything physically wrong with the master cylinder.

It looks like it is pretty well worn out. I would recommend replacing it. Was the car making a clicking noise when taking sharp corners?

Somebody swiped the plastic placard holder that goes in the front. Other than that it looks like my orange car right now.

Jason, you have a beautiful car.

Other than that, where can I get an entire half shaft? I purchased boots and grease off of eBay, but I would like to replace everything *before* I put the engine in.

Oh yeah, I have never driven the car. The engine was blown when I bought it ($250 from a junk yard). I'm saving up for an engine from Al Fitz.

Thanks for the compliment... Don't let me hi-jack your thread... I am not sure where you can get an entire half shaft. You may want to try Josh T. or Mike K.

Mike I.(F-22 Raptor) SHO should know where to get them... He had some in the trunk of his car last time I saw him.

Good luck!

Well, the subframe with the engine and tranny are sitting on some 2x4 spacers on the ground, and the front of the car is up in the air on stands, but we haven't slid the works out from under the car yet. Nothing stopping us from doing that other than we need to get the front of the car up a little more (which I don't think will be a problem). Just need to get to it. I still need to get the console and the ATX shifter out, which is complicated by Bondurant's routing of the controller for the Halon system.

The new (89) subframe is ready to go, all painted up purty and ever-thing. It came out of the 89 POS that Tom bought off ebay (the black one that has since essentially evaporated or disintegrated into small component parts that are scattered around Dooleyville).

BTW, Dusty changed my BDA out yesterday (I assisted). We were considering a preventive change of the heater core but gave up when we figured out the fasteners for the HVAC plenum are between the engine and the firewall. :madflame:    :madflame: Whoever was in charge of engineering for the entire EATC/HVAC should be strung up by their toenails.

Sorry for the hijack, you may now return to your regularly scheduled SHOforum...
