Just like the title says, there's a hesitation between 3k until the secondaries open up before the engine warms up. Happens when throttle is at 50% or more and as soon as the engine warms up, goes away completely. No CEL or anything like that. Any clue?????

Have you ever changed the Plugs? What did you have the gapped at if you did?

60k hasnt been done yet, it has 63k on the clock. Are we thinking its spark plugs or valve adjustment?

Probably have oil in the plug wells. Once the oil burns off of the plugs the car responds alot better. This is probably what causes the hesitation.

^^^ lol what? You wont burn the oil off the plugs in the well.. If that was the case youd set your plug wires on fire and melt them.. The oil in the plug wells most likely wont burn. IF theres oil on the plugs it will burn off with in the first few minutes max. The thing that would most likely cause that if its the plugs is if the gap has grown to large or the electrode is worn out! When i did my 60k i just re-gapped my plugs. I replaced them about a year ago so i saw no need in replacing them! My cams did not look out of time, but after doing he valve seals as well and 100% re-timing the cams with a new belt it ran harder than ever and the hesitation was completely gone.

You probably need a good 60k... I have always replaced the ECT sensor with my 60k's.

Make sure you don't remove the spark plugs if the wells are full of oil - you don't want that oil in your combustion chamber.

Also...it isn't very nice on your motor to get on it when it is cold.

I'd just wait the extra 2 or 3 minutes for your engine to reach operating temps before opening it up.

You see i checked my spark plugs. i cleaned out the wells with a rag. so theres no oil down there. i know the ones on the back are kinda old. but i dont think it would effect the performance of the car.

does any one know what the box is call that has DIS on the side of it. i tryed looking it up and nothing comes up. two clips on eather side.

If you're talking about the one on the passenger side of the intake manifold, with 2 electrical connectors, it's the ignition control module. DIS = Distributorless Ignition System (stupid, I know)
