I just put a new 3.2 in my car and got it started up tonight. It ran well for a while so we set it down and put new plugs in it and started it back up. After another minute it started running really bad then quit. It wouldn't restart and there was a bad noise comming from the pully side of the motor. Can someone help me???

youll have to be more specific and elaborate more on the situation for a proper online diagnosis.

Check codes. Maybe the CPS was mis-gapped. And now is missing some of its bits.

Check out all of your pulleys and see if one possibly locked up, throwing off the alternator belt.

Might want to pull the upper timing belt cover, too, and make sure nothing went bad in there.

update. The car rolls over fine but just will not start. There is spark and is getting gas. there is a fairly loud clicking noise comming from the pully side of the motor. it backfires while trying to start. It sounds as thought the timing is off but it i think it would be impossible. Could it be the CPS?
