You can get a gauge to measure fuel pressure at the Schrader valve (looks like a tire valve stem) but that's not necessary to do the valve cover gaskets.
By the way, I don't think there's a procedure for a SHO valve cover job in the Chilton's. The Chilton's is only good for non-SHO specific/general Taurus jobs.
There should be enough info archived here and in the FAQ on the shotimes.com website to get you through the job.

oh yeah-just for future reference--you don't need to post the same thing multiple times. A response won't be any faster and it may turn off some those who would usually be incined to help. Just been my experience here over time and thought I'd pass it along. Good luck and keep asking questions if you get stuck.

OSU,
Welcome to the forum. Just to let you know many of the people here don't take kindly to multiple posts. Be specific as possible in your title when posting. For example instead of "HELP" you could have used "do I need fuel pressure gauge during valve cover gasket replacement?" Most people will overlook generic titles. Just trying to help you out. Also, feel free to use the search feature located to your upper right. All archived posts are accessible via this method. Chances are most SHO topics have already been drawn up. For your benefit you should make a sig telling us the year and transaxle type (MTX, manual, ATX, automatic) so we don't have to ask while answering any one of your questions.
