Pull out the oil dip stick and look inside the oil fill cap and see if it looks like chocolate milk, also in the coolent.
I actually broke a valve when I blew a cooling hose and had no working temp guage in the 91. I tried to limp it home by pouring water in it, but it started knocking and then shut off seconds later, unable to restart until I came back the next day. I thought I spun a rod, but I broke a valve. When I took the head off, the gasket was pretty bad looking as well. Head gaskets on these aren't very fun. It's also possible to warp the aluminum heads. I would get some a 'block tester' kit to see if there is combustion gasses getting in the cooling system. Any white smoke out the exhaust? There are a number of things that could have been damaged, you just have to start checking them over....
Very impressive, breaking a valve on a non-interference motor. You must've warped the f*** out of those heads.
Try unplugging the MAF sensor and see what happens. Also could be a DIS issue, cracked plug insulator, bad plug wire, etc. If the car runs fine cold and there's no sign of oil in the coolant then you're probably OK and just have an ignition-related issue to solve.
Stop trying to start it.could a slack timing belt cause this problem also my noise at 1500 rpm now the car wont even start
