ok guys I know there are 8 million tire threads out there and i did do a search. I came up with this: http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=50496&highlight=stock+tire+size looked great until the top link didnt work about offset. Anyway I am getting a set of wheels with a 35mm offset, do you guys think a set of 235/50/16's will work or do you think they will rub. I have eibach springs btw, dont know if that matters much. I have a set of team dynamics wheels now, but i dont know the offset. Is there anyway to measure the offset accurately?

I have a set of 16"x7.5" wheels with the 35 mm offset and I had to do a lot of fender trimming (3.8") to get 225/55-16 tires to fit in the fenderwells. The Gen II has more clearance, but be careful with that offset that pushes the tires quite far outboard for our suspensions.

ahh o well i already ordered the rims. Ill go with the 225's and hope for the best and if i get burned i get burned. I had 225 55 on these same rims i just bought but i dont know if the offset was the same or not on the old ones as the new.

I have 17X8 with 35mm offset. I have 235/45WR-17's and need to roll the rear fenders. 225 would have fit better.

how close are your tires on the inside with that offset they dont run on the shock or anything? I had 225's on my old rims and they were about a 1/4 inch away from hitting the shock on the inside.

Plenty of clearance from the struts. 35mm offset pushes the wheels out if I went with 45mm offset I may have strut clearance problems.
