I'm comparing the LMS product to this MagnaFlow product and wondered if anyone had any feedback?

https://www.tdotperformance.ca/magnaflow-19111-street-series-cat-back-stainless-exhaust-system.html

WHATEVER YOU DO......... Do NOT get the Magnaflow! I made this major mistake! It sounds very metallic and the drone is horrible around 2200rpm / 70 - 80 mph! I had to replace the center muffler with a much bigger muffler to settle down the drone. The rear mufflers and tips look awesome though! Not worth it. I heard the Magnaflow was the lowest/weakest sounding of all the exhaust so that's why I got it - just wanted something a little bit more than factory, big mistake. I really wonder how that Thunderstorm one sounds...

Magnaflow stuff rusts (at least used to) out fast enough for me to resist it on a daily driver. I steer clear unless I was broke and need something to pass inspection. Sound not great, corrosion not good. Stock is much better. Borla is great but big money. I would let the warranty-able designed undercarriage parts sit there for a few years in salt country.

Not sure why you think that of Magnaflow, its just the opposite. Its one of the best exhaust as far as rust and corrosion. My local exhaust shop pushes Magnaflow over Flowmaster, Corsa, etc. Of course there's 308, 409 stainless and other options. As long as you keep it clean too if you live where they throw down salt, brine, sand. Everything will rust if you don't keep it clean.

What about just deleting the two mufflers? This seems like maybe it's a cheap alternative to create volume but I don't know what the ramifications are?

No there isn't an annual inspection . I suppose if its too loud though the police would make you put them back on .

I can't tell from the YouTube videos really how loud the car is but doesn't seem outrageously loud .

Uncertain about drone as well?

If I had it to do over again, I would leave the cat back stock and use that money to get a HPFP or intercooler as at least those make it go faster. The biggest drawback I've seen (mine is Corsa) is that awesome roar of the engine I used to hear when I punched it is now almost completely drowned out by the sound of the exhaust. If you are driving anyone around with you, they will be much more impressed by the engine noise than the Honda accord sounding exhaust.

The only plus (in my opinion) is the sound you get at startup.

I hadn't considered that that engine would be drowned out by any system other than stock . That might rule out the muffler delete as I assume it would be the loudest of alternatives. Much to consider.

Don't get a sleeper and put fart cans or equivalent noise makers on it. I mean why? If it had v8 rumble then maybe but it doesn't.

Of course. You will need plenty of your disposable cash for proper maintenance and other things.

My general proposition after throwing modification money at several cars is--Unless you get more from the go pedal, more from the stop pedal, or better handling around curves/turns my general answer is leave it alone. Some tasteful stuff is well and good, like maybe some tint or a non ***** way to tone down chrome accents etc. I have seen people (self included) with v6 cars try and get that great sound from their cars for decades and it's usually just worse sounding and worse fitting.

Maybe this is good advice . I really wanted a bit louder/throatier than stock but if it's unattainable because it's a 6 cyl then possibly just leave the sleeper image intact.

They seem to have a pretty good sound at start up and are maybe a raspy after that. It's hard to tell from a video .

I agree and disagree. You can make a V6 sound reasonably good - look at the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, GTR, one of the BMW M cars has a good-sounding 6, etc. It can be done and my goal was a slightly deeper/aggressive sounding exhaust and to stay with the sleeper theme - some people are just such idiots like my former boss who asked me one time why I drive an old ladies Taurus and he was serious! I was very offended and started my quest to make slight/classy changes to make it a little bit more "sport sedan," than an old ladies Taurus. I believe my modified Magnaflow does the deed and does not sound like a fart-can on a Honda.

I love when I start my car and I see (car) people say "$#it"... it also sends a "do not mess with me" message when you hit the gas after a red light

I am going to remove the stock DP's, and 3rd cat. Replace with non catted DP's and a Magnaflow resonator, through the stock mufflers. I want the performace, without the sound.
