I really have leaned on this community for a lot of help and I'm very appreciative of all the guidance I've received . Cap in hand again for some advice on whether to alter the exhaust or leave it stock.

My 2018 PP daily has a LMS tune, plugs, tstat, CAI, catch can (soon) noise maker delete. I've got a ton of warranty left on it.

I'm not tracking this so not looking for extra HP but rather I would like a more aggressive sound . My understanding is DP will not provide better sound so should I ignore these?

Assuming I'm not doing DP, is there some part of the exhaust I could delete to help with the sound? Would that deletion affect the warranty? Would the deletion throw a CEL?

If something has to be replaced other than deleted what is recommended for sound? Would that replacement part affect warranty or create a CEL?

Thank you all .

My experience with many cars is, outside 8 cylinders, the exhaust note of most v6 cars is generally not great or at least not something I would try and accentuate for its own sake. You can increase the sound volume but it won't be a deep throaty note no matter what you do.

If you are looking for a more efficient setup to move gasses along, that is often worth doing. With boost even greater potential returns. How does that effect the pleasantness of the sound coming out? Not sure. Different objectives.

Agreed 100%. Most V6 with exhaust sound like trash, esp the SHO.

Have you checked out our thunderstorm cat back exhaust system? We have tons of people out there who have grabbed our cat back system and have been very please with the sound, our cat back system features a very low rumble at idle and NO drone at all when at cruising speeds such as highway driving ect and are made with T304 US stainless steel! We offer these with the polished looking exhaust tips as well as our black tips with a polished finish

Form the catback there should not be any more sensors left in the exhaust stream to pop an error. I would not remove and replace something like that for any service.

I have a Corsa cat back and love the sound. No CEL.
I did read on another forum about a guy that had to fight Mazda to get his cats replaced under warranty since he had installed a cat back system.
Pros:
- the sound, I don't even know or care how many HP I gained with it.
-looks, the larger tailpipes look awesome.
Cons:
- ground clearance gets significantly reduced (I also have K&N springs) so you might need to relearn how to drive over bumps.

H&R springs, not K&N... K&N is the air filter, I wish there was an edit button...

Besides the "XX minutes ago", no timestamp either, there is something weird going on. Using Chrome on Windows 10...
We had this discussion in another thread not long ago. It looks like it may be related to post count. in that thread around 80-81st post the other member got the rest of the functions. We'll see if that holds true after another 30 or so posts for you. It would be nice to have repeatable results to know that is the actual answer.

Ya that's odd, there should be an edit button. I am using internet explorer, my posts all have edit buttons. Guess you have to be careful what you type. lol
