Will be putting a new motor in the Crown Vic this weekend. If anyone wants to come help, or even just hang out, I'll have pizza and beer.

Most likely Friday and Saturday. I'd like to have it up and running Saturday night so I can go to work.

Right now I think I just need bodies...I'm going to start working on it this afternoon. I just got back from Lincoln with the motor. Now to find a hoist.

well...the project continues...

Joe came up last night with his hoist, and the arm was too short...Back to trying to find a hoist. I'll be working on it most of today if anyone wants to stop by and kibbitz

Well shit. I just now saw this post. If I had caught it earlier this morning, I would have been happy to help out. Hope all is going well!

Got the old one out. Am now working on getting the stuff transferred over, and then the new one in. I think it'll be next weekend before it goes in!

Well..here's the update...Have most of the external stuff and the oil pan/pickup tube swapped over to the new motor. Had to swap the water pump over, too. Hope to have it ready to go in by this weekend.

Well...Have the new motor dropped back into the engine bay. Having an issue getting the torque convertor bolts to line up right with the flywheel. It should fly going back together as soon as I can get the first bellhousing bolt and flywheel nut started.
