This problem started a few weeks ago, sometimes not shifting correctly between 3rd and 4th. But if I shut the car off, and restart it was fine. Now it will not shift out of 1st, all the way up to 7K RPM. I replaced the VSS, but to no avail. What are the chances that it is the computer, the car has 130K on it. Any Help is much appreciated.
Thanks

If you have already replaced the VSS to no avail, I think the tranny is waving bye bye unfortunately, especially if it is the problematic 93s. sorry.

Have you put in new fluid recently? If not, you may want to try flushing it out and replacing it with fresh fluid. If this does not help, the last thing you could try is throwing in a couple of containers of Ford's friction modifier. This will help unstick the valve body if that is what the problem is and also helps the tranny live longer.
