I need my sho running to leave that state at the end of this month. I already handed in my tow week notice at work before this happened so there is no undoing that now, and just last night my new atx ground itself to pieces, again. Last time the rebuilt ground itself up the guy blamed it on me and said he wasn't going to rebuild it again. IMO that's not the way to do business so tomorrow we are calling him to have us get a refund or rebuild one correctly in a SHO case. Does anyone know of a SHO tranny case they can sell me for cheap or an operational trans. would be even better. Only other option is to convert to mtx, with guts from a totaled sho.

Getting another car is out of the question right now.

Wish I could help ya, but I have no ATX parts anymore. Do what you can to get your money back, and then get a SHO ATX in the thing.

No junkyards in PSL or Jensen. There's one south of Stuart that used to have some SHOs. I bought some 3.2s and other parts from them, but haven't been there in years. Get ahold of Todd (32mtx) and Chris (Chrism####). They seem to be the SHO junkyard dogs around here.

I can tell you that there are no junkyards in Brevard County with automatic transaxles. There are really no gen 1 or 2's anymore because they immediatly crush them.

I have an ATX, but I'm in Missouri. It came out of a wrecked car. I have no history on the car. The motor looks good as does the tranny. I only want the motor. you can have the tranny if you can get it from here to there. I say again it came from a wrecked car looked it was running when it was hit, I have no way to test it or can I say it works but I can give it to you if you can get it.

Maybe I'm late, but start with car-part.com as that network is usually reliable. You should be able to pick up a transmission quickly if you're willing to pick up.

I'm also headed to one or two of the local yards here in West Palm this weekend, so I'll look around. Two weeks ago there were 3 SHOs in the yard I visited, but was focused on Gen4 Sables and Mk II Contours at the time and didn't take a closer look.

I checked car-part last week, but didn't see much that looked very promising. Some phone calls may get you somewhere.

Our is going to be rebuilt again, in a different housing with dirrefernt gear carriers. After we get it back, the car is going to be put back together again, by me like always, and sold. I don't need the SHO right now. I need 4wd, which is why I found myself an Explorer. Doing some minor electric work and some sand blasting on the explorer and she'll be ready for snow.

With my luck this will be the good trans. It will be sold and it will last 60,000 miles before it needs attention. But I just can't take that risk. I've gotten TOO good at transmission swaps.
