Hi there. I could really use some input about a tranny bearing. I blew out the rear bearing on the input shaft and I can't find one anywhere. The bearing is a Koyo # st3265-n. Ive called all over, i've been to Ford, and I've even been in touch with Koyo. Nobody knows anything. There is no cross reference number. I'm really lost here. The tranny is out of my 89 sho. Ford gave me a bearing that was way to small. They said it was supposed to be the bearing. My buddy owned the car since 93. Maybe the tranny was changed out? It has a plate on it that says MTX IV. Could the tranny be older then 89? Any input would be greatly appreciated... Thanks. Guy

Try www.ShoNutPerformance.com, they sell various tranny rebuilding kits/refresh packages that will probably have what you need. You can order most parts individually too.

Boy are you screwed, let me tell you why.I had mine go bad last summer,it`s very rare that it goes out.The Ford dealers don`t show any in their network.Shonut,Sho Shop, any any other place you call won`t have them.I got a # from Nich Chrimes for Ford parts that will check ALL Ford resources, including Green Sales which is their obsolete parts division.I called every last place that showed them in stock and only found 1 left in the country, anywhere, according to every last parts resourse, and it`s on my SHO now.I even had to resort to calling the Ford customer service line for help. You won`t be able to find one except for used.Fortunately, since the rarely go(i think i`m the only one here that it`s happened to)a used one should hold up for quite a while. The bearing started to lock up,which cause the rubber to tear, right?

It`s actually an extension of the passengers side half-shaft.It`ll probably have to be cut out of the car.

I think your fellers are talking about 2 different things :)

The bearing jeremy is talking about is the intermediate axle shaft bearing, bolts to the rear motor mount/p/s pump bracket.

I can't believe that the input shaft bearing is "gone". All the MTX bearings are just common on LM xxxx number bearings. Probably all of them cross reference over to Timkin, etc. I don't have a tranny open right now so I can't get the # off the race, but I suspect it would be readily available.

SHO Lists E3FZ-7025-A for rear input shaft bearing. That's coming up as obsolete???

Hey thanks everybody for the input. JTHOMAS68 is right. Ford was completely lost with this bearing. Fortunately, Joshua and Julie at SHO NUT Performance had everything I needed. Thanks guys... Guy

I was talking about the input shaft bearing. It`s the one that is pressed onto the input shaft itself, with the casing to bolt it up.They are gone, trust me.It cost about $98.00
