Hey all,

New member here, got a 2014 Ford Taurus SHO with level four performance pack through Livernois. Currently trying to decide what to do next. I would either like to run flexfuel or e85. If anyone has any suggestions, price points, or places please let me know.

When you find a HPFP that can run full E85 please let us know. A lot of us run E30 tunes because of this.

Oh and WELCOME!

So far all I really found which wasn’t what I was looking for is this dual fuel pump system.

@ SM105K.......

LMS has their "extreme/severe" HPFP that is reported to be able to run full E85. But IIRC it was/is pricey at like $2,400 or something.

@ Jrod6......

That image you posted is NOT an HPFP. But rather a replacement for the intank LPFP instead.

Two vastly different things.

For $2400 it better without question be able to run full E85.

Oh I agree. I chose my words carefully, and tactically placed that in quotes because I know of at least 1 person who was/is running the full E85 but was having issues elsewhere as a result.

Mainly the injectors and the LPFP were presenting problems per se.

But suffice to say, the HPFP was cycling the full E amount through it.

Like anything else, it's all pieces of a larger puzzle. Once one heads down that mod path, some more extreme than the average (myself being one of that "some" crowd) it gets more and more complicated.

Embrace the challenges. Suffer the setbacks. Reap and revel in the rare successes as they occur.

In talking with livernois, they are saying the Fuel pump alone would only be able to run e30. If you wanted to run e85 they would want to add bigger turbos and meth.

BP not at all taking a shot at you. I appreciate the insight. You and Mike in my book are Pioneers in the Ecoboost world IMO.

At least there is HPFP that can handle the duty cycle of E85 in our application. Just like everything, once your upgrade I wouldn't expect the in tank pump and injectors to keep up. You are completely correct on that.

I am still part of the turbo LS world and $2400 is literally a whole E85 fuel system (just not a pump).

I don't want to make my pig fly, but it would be cool to be able to roll to the track full weight and click off an 11 second pass at any time with a upgraded intercooler, E85 fuel system, and full bolt ons.

I am sure you will make it happen too, and I would gladly egg you on in that endeavor :D

I got nothing better to do SHOdded...besides cook and compete internationally.

Actually, I just ordered the whole Powerstop brake rotor and pad kit. Hopefully Saturday install those, fix a massive scratch in my ceramic coating, and check out my intercooler for oil. Pitter Patter.

I love my SHO and I knew some mods were going to be "Interesting". However, if I want to go fast "again" I will build an old muscle car with new technology.
