heater core

changing out the heater core today, anyone want to help? Dallas Ga area? Please!

Good luck. I've heard it isn't as hard as the older Tauruses.

if it wasn't for the removal of the dash! still workin on it

got it done. not fun at all...or easy. heater works fine and so far no leaks. the dash will have to come out again (completly out) due to the mixing valve for the max a/c and vent being broken. mabie in the next weekend or two, will need help for that one.

So, at which point did you discover that you didn't actually need to remove the dash to replace the heater core?

Seen this guy here remove a dash in like 30 minutes.

At least the GEN III dash is easy to get out. You would live with thsoe broken parts if you had a GEN II.

As mentioned above the GEN III dash can be taken out in around 30 min, GEN II dash is a good days work to get out.
