Heat Blower question

Whenever I start the car and the heat turns on I let it warm up for like 5 min and take off. But when I try and turn the fan down or shut the heat off the heat just blows harder when I press the off button. Is there a sensor or something for the automatic shit. The previous owner said she never had a problem with it but she barely drove the car.

If the blower function is erratic like it sounds it could be the blower control module going. You can pick one up cheap usually on ebay and it's easy to change. It's located behind the glove compartment.

thanks but haven't been able to find any of ebay as of yet. just typed in blower control module I guess and nothing came up.
