Heads are off the engine, how do I remove the valves, springs, keepers, etc?

I know there is a Rotunda kit to do it right, but is there another way I can get all the valves and parts out of the two heads I have? I will not be reassembling them afterwards. I believe there is a one piece keeper or two, either way, let me know the easiest way. Thanks.

I just used a standard valve spring compressor with a big socket on the top of the spring cap. You pull the bucket out first ant put the socket on top and then put the compressor on it. The keepers fall out in the socket and you can get it apart then. I'm actually working on reproducing the Rotunda tool so I can put them back together. :D

i used a 10" C clamp and a 1/2" pipe ******, 3 inches long, with a 3/8" slot milled into it. the slot is about an inch long. i could have permanently fixed it to the clamp but i decided not to. i just centered it up, and wrapped it good with lots of electrical tape. i can get a picture of the pipe ****** if youd like ? when i got the springs compressed, i used a magnet to fish out the keepers.
