Headlights will not turn off?

I got up at 3am this morning to find the headlights on in my car so thinking I just het the key fob I tried it, no luck still on. So I walked out to car and checked autolamp switch settings it was in off position. Just headlights on high beam light on in dash also. So I tried turning them on / off with the headlight switch no change still on. Just unhooked battery and drove the truck. I am thinking autolamp switch but is there anything else that could cause this?

either the autolamp or the headlight switch itself are the two candidates, I would think.
