I have the SUV Lighting upgraded wiring harness on my 97. This morning on the way to work both headlights went out simultaneously. I checked the underdash fuse panel & both the high & low beam fuses were good. I then put my high beams on & shortly after they went out, too. I then checked the inline 25 amp fuses on the wiring harness & they were blown. I noticed that the fuse panel fuses were 10 amp. Any ideas of what has caused this & why the difference in fuse amperages? Thanks.

how is your grounds on your harness did you go back to the battery with it or only ground to the steel body ?

the 10 amp fuses only control the relays you have on the harness.
the 25 amp is the main power to supply your lights (other side of the relay)
check you sockets see if you got anything melted on the lights them selfs also

If you are blowing 25 A fuse then there is a short somewhere.

25A x 14v = 350W. I'm sure your headlights are not rated at this value.
