Head Swapping questions.

Seeing as i will likey be buying SHO Amo's heads (I blame it on boat! ****!) and im starting to build a list of what all i need to get and do.

Should the head bolts be replaced when you are swapping heads?
Im going to get a new set of head gaskets from rock auto, anything else i should be getting? He said it has new valve stem seals, any thing else i should do while they're apart? Any other advice would be greatly praised.

I reused my head bolts. It is my understanding that they are not torque to yeild bolts (like the v8's), though I am sure some people would say replace them. If the heads have new seals then I think they would be good to go. Unless you are buying them with cams already installed, you will want to do a valve lash.

If you are installing cams be EXTREMELY careful when torquing down the caps. Have a good torque wrench and I used the lowest torque spec inthe given range.

The cams are installed and the valve lash is done! (thank god).
