I just wanted to let you all know I was at my Ford dealer's parts department and we where talking and head light bulbs came up, do you know what a bulb cost for these cars, $350.00. I just did not know what to say.

Jim, Seems you and me are both on this and the V forum!!

And yes, that sounds like it should be a Xenon, the other is a simple Halogen.

The SHO in the US are all HID bulbs.

Fortunately, the bulb is a standard D3S bulb.

You can get those on ebay or any other online seller for 1/4 of the dealer price.

For giggles, I did a search for the D3S bulb and found a Sylvannia on Amazon for $115 and a pair at carhidkits.com for $200. I also found them on dhgate.com for around $45 a pair, but shipping is around $65! They are coming out of Beijing. :p I saw some pictures of a plant in China making spark plugs... reminded me of The Jungle by Upton Sinclair.
