Does anyone have any info on buying head gaskets for an 89 3.0. I bought the intake and valve cover gaskets for 45.00 and 71.99 and was wondering if there is just a whole top end kit for cheaper than buying them individually.

when i did my motor i bought a whole topend kit from ford and i believe its somewhere around $286.00 from fordpartsnetwork.com i just went to my local dealer and they cut me a deal for 260, so i would just go to your local ford parts department and when they tell you its like 350 tell them you can get the same parts (still ford)from fordpartsnetwork for much cheaper and they should cut yah some slack thumbs_u

Shoballa:

What all comes in the top end kit. Timing chain, thermostat housing, throttle body? + head, intake and valve cover?

Don't forget the IAB/IAC gasket and the head to injector grommets, injector o-ring seals to the fuel rail and the spark plug well seals on the valve covers too.

I bought the 3.2 upper gasket kit from shonut,$147.00, and then bought the 3.0 head gasket separately. Came out cheaper than buying the 3.0 upper gasket set. For some reason the price is jacked way up for the 3.0 upper gasket set. I believe i spent around 275, give or take a few dollars, this way.
