Have a GH IC? IC sprayer? Looking for advice.

OK I have stock IC, and waiting for GH to restock. If I make a homemade sprayer, how much room is there for a sprayer. I am curious about space since I haven't taken mine all apart, and only watched the GH YT video for installation. Also anyone here pay the money and go DEI CO2 sprayer?

Being as hot as it is here in the South, and pretty much everywhere when we all have 90+ ambient air the cold air intake as well as IC have no chance of performance.

I have seen threads with others making sprayers like @SM105K. Just looking for ideas, when I get GHIC is having a sprayer worth it?

Yes, by laws of thermodynamics an air to air intercooler can only cool to the ambient. If its 110degrees out then the iat2 will read near that pulling timing even with a great intercooler. Sprayer will send it down to 60 degrees pretty quickly but as my tuner told me. Cant remember if its 90 or 100 degrees but from there it starts to pull timing. So if its 99 degrees iat2 it wont pull timing but at 100degrees it will and multiply from there on.
Sprayer has at least a few advantages in cooling, fueling and cleaning for an easy and cheap setup

I have a dual cryo ring CO2 set up on the my Lexus from DEI. It doesn't do half the job the my DIY IC sprayer does for the SHO. I didn't notice a drop of temp of any kind in my data logs, however I didn't see a rise through. It was also 105 outside when I did the logs....

I am actually starting to piece together the components to build a DIY water sprayer for the Lexus as well. I will use both in conjunction to each other. Water log the leading edge of the IC then freeze it with CO2? Might work....only one way to find out. I bought a cheap pump with a reservoir off amazon. The reservoir is pretty small so I will ditch that. I will buy some rubber line with the sprayer nozzles off amazon. I can tap into the power wire from the CO2 sprayer system (for power and activation). I have a insulated 1 gallon jug like this sitting at home that can be used as the new reservoir and be removable to re-fill..ect....

I tried an intercooler chiller bar with NO2, sprayed about 90% of a freshly filled 5 gallon nitrous bottle in about 10 seconds lol! That was enough for me to remove it and install a nitrous nozzle just before the IC inlet. Rather than spray on it, it’s more effective to spray in it.

In hindsight, I had the nitrous line hooked directly up to the bar with no nozzle, just an open line…..surely that was why it emptied the bottle. Lol. But it worked out great to use the line with a nozzle pre IC, I tried a 15 shot and 25 shot there.
