My transmission was having problems getting into gear, but the clutch disc didn't seem to act like it was worn. My mechanic checked it out and we found that a part of the throw-out bearing had come loose and has broken two teeth on pressure plate. I haven't seen something like this since I worked on Big Block Chevys back in the 70s. I'll try to post some photos soon.

yeah it happens, it happens most often when people do a lot of hard clutch drops.

yeah i had a stock through out bearing eat through all of the fingers of the pressure plate rendering the car useless. the car was very hard to get into gear for awhile and towards the end i had to rpm match every shift even with the clutch pressed all the way to the floor. i kept driving it anyway because the alternative was a full size conversion van and that wasnt considered a cool ride back in high school, although it ended up being the most amazing ride ever, it was a portable bedroom that came in handy very often :dribble:
