So last night as I am running my engine, at first it sounds normal and quiet and then i start to hear a fluttering kinda sound from the acc belt area so I pop the hood up open and listen and i notice that a pulley or something is kinda slightly wobbling. The noise just so happens to be coming from that pulley. it doesnt make the noise when i accelerate only when its idling. if ur standing in front of the acc belt line it is the largest pulley on the bottom towards the firewall... i was told this was the harmonic balancer making the noise... any help, thoughts, especially if any of you have some pics of this would be greatly appreciated!!!

TIA:)

Let me get a pic of the pulley I have, and I'll show u where it seperates... if its cracked then its probally toast..

Pulley

There is rubber in that circle there... you should be able to see if it's seperated or not. The one's I've seen have all had the outer part push inward towards the motor. You should be able to see it if you turn the wheels to the right all the way, and pry back that cover a hair.

Edit: Grab a small straight edge... or a razor blade, and you can lay it across that little "valley" there and see if they are even as well. That edge is the same "height" ... at least it is on this one.
