Oil pressure switch on my ATX. $8 part, $8 socket and about 8 hours to fix. I had to cut coolant line to gain access but it took 7 tries to get the new hose not to leak. I would rather do a full 60k than this repair again. Separating the metal coolant line from the bracket finally gave me the needed wiggle room.The good part was what I thought was my rear oil seal leaking all these years was really the switch. No more oil stains in my driveway.:)

Getting the EGR and coolant hoses out of the way does make it easier.

I just replaced mine when I had the motor out...

I would recommend getting a specific hose to replace the one that goes from the engine block to the metal tube (i presume you cut off the original crimped hose). The size of the coolant tube is a different size than the ****** coming off the block....

This hose works perfectly as it transitions from one size to the other: Dayco 87612, or Gates 18060, or Napa 10080

Where is that thing located?And if it leaks, where does it run down the motor at?

It is on the back of the block facing the fire wall...below where the heater core lines are. It runs down the back of the motor/oil pan.

You can see it if you look to the right of the thermostat.
