Well weird things happen when you lower your car as much as mine. (3.5 inches in front compared to my '95) guess where this piece came from, and how.

the skid plate on the subframe???
yeah i wonder how that thing "fell" off.....
but atleast the subframe is still there.....

anyways, yeah of course that's the skidplate.. and yeah the subframe is still in there. It happened on a road that was being repaved, or, an intersection I was behind some cars and when I saw the dip I started slowing down, then I see this giant manhole sticking up atleast 4 inches but it was too late..
It didn't break it completely off though, just ripped off one side. I had to get my grinder out this morning to cut off the other bolt since the head was so worn down
anyways.. I'll be getting another skid plate soon if I can find a nice one.. and I'll paint it or something so I know when it gets scratched..
also, the jolt from hitting it pulled the ignition wire out of the relay on the starter so it wouldn't crank.. I had to call for someone to bring my jack and some tools.. roadside fuurrryyy, drove home fine though.
