Lately I notice that after I first start my car, I hear a grinding noise as I release the clutch and start moving forward, after that it goes away. It only happens when I'm first leaving my driveway in the morning or if I have parked for a few hours. Any idea's what it could be?

Also, I hear a rattling type noise at slow speeds, it goes away when I pick up speed, or maybe noise from the engine is covering it up. Any ideas?

A slight rattling noise is called "gear roll", IIRC, and is normal.

Do you set the parked brake? The cable(s) could be hanging up.
