Got the engine in!! Misfire...

I got the 90 engine into the 94. It runs, and all cylinders are hitting except #5. Its not the plug, wire, or coil pack. That narrows it down to the injector, I think. There is also a small puddle of fuel under the fuel rail. My dad thinks it could be the o ring on injector #5.

Can anyone confirm this or give me ideas what to look for tomorrow?

its a leaky injector o-ring. these commonly get torn/ripped, so dont feel like a nincompoop. a tip is to install the o-ring on the injector, then dab some dielectric grease on the o-ring.

Alright, where can I can get the o-rings, and fast maybe tomorrow sometime? Would autozone, NAPA, or Oreileys carry them?

I got some at Napa. They did not have the specific one for me in stock, but they did have a box of assorted. They had enough in that box that allowed me to do the tops and bottoms of every injector.

If the injector has a bad oring it can most deffinately cause a miss. Also check for a vacume leak

I thought when I did my engine swap that changing the injector o-rings would be good preventative matenance, well turns out that the highly skilled workers at Advanced Auto gave me o-rings that melt when they come into contact with gas. Moral of the story, get the right ones, through Napa. They should stock them. :hpoop:
