Regardless of everything I wouldn't drive it, even if you have to get to work there's no difference.
Don't drive it now and find a ride to save the car, or don't drive it tomorrow and find a ride because you already killed it.

I'm sure there's someone on the forum that will help you out.

arnt you the guy i was gunna help do rod bearings about a month or 2 ago and then you never posted again?:smash: And not to scare you but my engine ran find when i pulled it, i did have a slight low oil flicker every once in a while. I drove the car only about 10 miles when the light started to flicker at idle and i shut it off and pulled the engine. Opened it up, copper all over, crack scored, it was a mess. What im getting at is make sure they check the crank and not just replace bearings, because if the crank is messed up you will spin the new bearings in no time.

Well guess what...the guy i took it too confirmed that there is an audible knock and he quoted "either the wrist pins or the bearings are bad" I asked him how much it would cost to fix. He then replied," its not worth it, the cranked could be scored and i would have to take it apart anyway." Well this is it basically. Either someone helps me, or 2 other options. Sell the car for a cheap price or use it for a parts car....I love the SHO but i cant stand the heartache i gotta get out of this sho game....

listen, there are dozens of cars on this very forum that have had slight audible knocks that are running fine with a rod bearing change.

take it to another tech. bearings cost me $100cdn, and the gaskets $30. It is worth a try, and I am almost certain that the car will be fine with a bearing change.
