Got a problem

I changed my Valve cover gaskets and the Little grommets around the plugs.. now i start it up and it sounds like theres air leaking out of the intake or something and idles strange.. hard to discribe since its 2am and i have been working on it since 1 pm. it didn't do it before and i triple checked all my hoses and such. Anyone run into this? No CE lights though

It very likely that it is a vaccuume leak if it wasn't doing this before.

Quadruple check all your hoses tomarrow when your mind is fresh. thumb

Well since i can't sleep until something is fixed i took it out... Runs amazing about a grand.. doesn't always run rough but if you put a load on the engine Ie turning the vents on then it idles irraticly. IAC???? i read somewhere that you can reset it.. someone wanna tell me a how to?

ohh ya it never stalls.. just drops around 500 rpm and idles funny.. Plus my hoods not on soo i hear alot of the engine right now....

Try re-seating the intake manifold. If it's not on completely you're going to have a good vacuum leak, thus the noise you are hearing and erratic idle. Has was the condition of the intake manifold gaskets? Also make sure that all 12 intake bolts are securely torqued down.

It's a vacuum leak.

rear valve cover gasket wasn't seated properly.. i guess thats what happens at 2am when your trying to get it done
