GOODBYE amber corner lenses!!!! (how i delt with those)

well like all other SHO owners i hate them damn things too but have delt with them for 2 years not realising how bad they make the car look until i saw this pic SHOMA took of my car at the meet on May 15th

ugh it makes me shiver, just ruins the whole side of the car nothing else is that color

well i solved the problem tonight with a can of Night Shades i had practically still full from my slightly tinted tail lights

yeah looks 100000000x's better besides the ton and a half of over spray (stupid me)

so i'll take care of that tomorrow when i can see it all in the daylight


i like it, what do ya'll think?


(i'll take a side profile shot tomorrow, to many cars to move to get mine out of the garage tonight)

Damn thats alot of tape!! Quick, clean mod. I like. Its better than the yellow! Its actually better than clear corners cuz they NEVER match the headlights. I think I woulda painted over that screw. It sticks out alot.

What does it look lit up though?

kinda reddish only light is shined on them

I currently have clear corners on my car, and I like them alot. Although, I have tossed around the idea of getting some black vinyl to cover them with.

wouldn't it have been easier to take the lights off and paint them? Less chance of over spray that way.

Holy crap! What a waste of tape! You could have just removed the corner and then taped up what you don't want to paint.

2 nuts and 1 screw... It would have probably taken as long as the masking did.


I painted mine some time ago... I matched it with the car as I think any other color would look more out of place than the amber light.

actully 1 nut 1 screw on mine, the bottom ones where LONG gone when i got the car

I *tried* to do that on my car with 1 coat of niteshade, didn't turn out well at all and I couldn't totally get all the paint off. So I ordered a set of clear corners.

I'm one of the only few people that think the amber doesn't look too bad though.

Hey, although the orange side marker did stick out, that is one Clean Gen II! on whoever took that pic too!
I agree it would have been easier to remove it and paint it/tint it that way, but whatever the case, quick and easy mod..

yeah its clean except for the ******* scrape i have on the passanger side some dumb ***** gave me on valentines day at my school then took the **** off
