Cool air = more power
Cool air = tractionless tires
More power + Tractionless tires = More wheel spin for Mr. Dooley :laugh_ti:

Yeah but I have spare struts now and hopefully at the next get together we can rip apart the suspension and then see what the problem is.

Then Gen3 will have gained at least a second, but lost the infamous and famous clunk!

It's pretty entertaining to hear it running against the rev limiter for half the track length...

Goes to show you how the forum ranks next to sleep....tom and nik roll in at nearly 2 am and check to see if any news came up. I on the other hand roll in at 2:30 and go right to sleep. Post 12 hours later.

Now with clear mind and rested spirit I must say nitrous nik has one fast car.
Might have to get some of that there laughing gas some day.

Would be interesting to weigh our cars in cause I had no front or rear seat and was only posting times 2 tenths quicker than nik at best. My fastest time for the night was 15.11.

Zex boy popped off a 14.20 only 4 mph slower than the buggy and not far behind him either...man that was neat to see. Now If I can only get him to stop revving the car so much in the staging lanes ;)

twas a really fun time, but getting in bed at 3 am is for a much younger version of myself.

Would've loved to go but....GoofSHO 2 needs some surgery. Going to be busy after Thanksgiving. New clutch, with Ceramic TOB and 17# fly. Stage 1 cams, 80mm MAF. SS LPM. SFC's, and all new strut mounts. ( most of this has been packrd away in the garage ) The need for a clutch has prompted the work...lol OH, and Rod Brngs...

got that bumper and quarter windows out yet? ;)

One of these days I will hop in the car again and bring me helms manual with me to figure this out.

Nik is upset with me for going the quasi plus route with the raptor. Seems he likes the black stripes as does tom.

Poor SHO :(

I felt as tho my car was not quite as fast as it should have been with the nitrous and that it did'nt pull like it should. Those feelings where reinforced on the way home and I felt that something was surely not right. Even when racing TOW and running 14.2, it felt like a 50 shot. I fugured that was just the "getting your ass handed to you by TOW" factor. I drove my car a bit today and felt the same way. The tires would normally light up on a 1st gear roll -WTF? So, after a close inspection with some daylight, I discovered that the regulator line had popped off of the NMU and I was not getting any fuel enrichment the whole time. So I basically leaned the crap out of my motor and wasted a bunch of nitrous to the atmosphere:oogle: . I plugged it back on and clamped it this time as well as at the regulator and the tires smoke in first again:) . I just hope I did'nt hurt my motor too much.

So Tom, you got lucky:biggrin: J/K. -:hail: TOW for life yo!!

Mike, this mishap had absolutely no bearing on my N/A runs so I have no excuses for you. I have some tricks up my sleeve for next time tho:cool: .
Excellent driving. That was quite the battle. F-22 Raptor FTW(this time).

Well, maybe in the slightly modified class. But when I beat that Z-06 on my second run with a 12.729 TOW was smiling. Now I just need to get that bottle warmer on so I can run some juice again. I think I can get into the low 12's maybe even 11's if I get some slicks.

I had a good enough time just watching and taping a little bit. Next time hopefully my sho will ffffiiinallyyy be roadworthy. I'm going to bring it down to the next meet to see if we can bust some rusted nuts. :snicker:

Nick, you are a lucky man. But don't worry, if you blow that engine, you have an extra. Lots of extra tires too.. which I will need to borrow to get to Dooleyville.

George, don't know if you're on the forums here, but sorry for the dust cloud on the way out today. :slap:

Dont hurt that motor man, it should be in my drive living to a ripe old rust free age. Instead its falling victim to the younger lifestyle of LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG LEAVE A GREAT LOOKING CORPSE.

You lean that out too much and you will beat Jason out of the title of "Burnt up the lowest miled engine on the forum" club.

Eh, I'm not too worried about it. Since the regulator feed line was off, most of the nitrous went to the atmosphere and very little to the engine. Tom's blower was sucking it out of the surrounding air.

Sounds like a grand ole time. Did anyone get any videos?

I would have loved to have come and driven another nail into the coffin of the gen3 with 15 runs, but had a friend come fly in on Friday night and thought caution was the better part of valour and stayed home.
