Going to hit 100k soon

I belive there is recomendations for things to service at 100k in the manual but anyone have any suggestions? My dad is going to take it into the shop for service and I would just like to know what i should have him check and and the things I can exclude. Money is an issue.

I'll speculate hes talkin about a 94-95 atx maybee mtx. The 100K on these are the same as the 60K that is refered to on the earlier models. If you look in you little black book (owners manual) at the maint. schedule it will list the things that need to be accomplished.

The big service interval for the 3.0L SHO is at the 60,000 mile increment. At that point, the SHO is expecting to get new double platinum spark plugs, have its valve gaps checked and adjusted, and have the timing and accessory belts replaced. Along with the two major services (valve gapping and timing belt change), there are a host of other parts that are prudent to replace at 120,000 mile intervals on the 3.0L: spark plug wires, valve cover and spark plug well seals, water pump, front main crankshaft seal and crankshaft position sensor. There are other items that can be replaced, but these are not associated with the two major engine services.

You can see several sets of pictures from a few services that I have done at the following site. These images will give you an idea of the magnitude of the "60K" services for your 3.0L engine. If these were not performed at the 60,000 mile mark, you are living with reduced performance and possibly increased cam lobe wear.
