Well I changed to Synchromesh and now The shifter is much notchier. I wish I had left the old fluid in. I don't know what the old fluid was, but Performance Plus put it in when the first 60k was performed. Am I the only one with a negative experience with this?

Witch City, baby! Salem,
I just put in Syncromesh last weekend and I love it. One thing you might want to make sure of, did you have the car level when filling the tranny? I know someone else who left his car up on jackstands after draining and put way too much fluid in because the trans wasn't level. His car shifted like ass until he drained the appropriate amount out.

If you think there's too much in there, just undo the bolt from the top with the car sitting on level ground, whatever drains out was more than you needed. After multiple attempts to pump out as much as possible, I got about 2.5 quarts back in of the new stuff...

This is the first negative review of Syncromesh I have heard from any car community, not just SHO.

I did indeed have the car on ramps when I added the fluid. I drained per instructions and collected about half a quart. It shifts a little better now, but it is still worse than before. However since doing my front end 60k, the back end is sitting a little low. I guess taking my time was detrimental to the rear springs. Maybe removing some more fluid will help. Thanks for the help.
