Somehow my door's lower body molding got sprung in the front and it catches on the front fender whenever I open the door. I was able to duct tape it down for awhile, but the scraping cut it loose again. The molding IS on the mounting track, it's just kind of bent now. Anyway to glue this plastic piece down to the door? Has to be something that adheres to plastic and the cear coat.

Come on, any ideas? I'm tired of squeezing out of a barely open door! :bonk:

I had a similar issue last summer. I just took off the molding, and sort of bent it in, so that when it was reinstalled, it wouldn't catch anymore.

nevermind bending it in .

U will just face the same problem again , take molding off and file just a bit off( and sand or what every ) . I used a die grider with an emery wheel and worked great ! It was the same type of problem .

my passangers would open the door and it would just peel it back . I would have a fit . and repeat . Solved that problem

hope this helps

3M makes a product to secure body parts such as molding. You will have to go to a "real" auto store or bodyshop suppy. I used this product years ago to hold the door molding on an AUDI, once glued it never came off.

I tried some industrial grade liquid nails type stuff. Worked for about an hour in the 90+ heat. Scraped it off and now have some marine grade epoxy on. Hopefully this will do it!
