I am not trying to shit on you. Different is good if it is feasible and it works. If you can prove it increases performance with real world data, I will be the first to say well done.

This isnt really the intake pipes but the intercooler.

Blue is ambient, red is mph and orange is iat2 temp. Goes to ambient all the time. Just some proof logs for Aarons intercooler setup. I dont know how to read it but my datalog guy said it just sticks to ambient at wot. Itll get lower with water meth when i get that kit finished up with logs. But it dosnt need to go lower in temp, just needs to be under 100 degrees F
The left numbers is just the mph, it wasnt 20 degrees out. Like 55 degrees today

So in my 55 degree day, normal highway crusing i see 80-85 degrees. Sitting at idle it gets around 110-120 degrees. Full floor it, i cant drive that fast while watching the gauge but it gets to ambient.
Ill log it more on the hot days to see how it holds up.

So that means your iat2s are 20-30 degrees above ambient when cruising speed which means the intercooler is sized properly for the application and working well. I see very similarities temps relative to ambient on my mishimoto intercooler setup as well, with the stock airbox and also without a heat shield using the hks filters. No timing gets pulled with the front mount intercooler setup and the dual filters and I make full power all the time.

So what you are saying is this set up only works with your IC set up? So it would lose power on applications without an ungraded intercooler (say the general public?). Do you see where I am going with this?

Not tested without my intercooler setup. I doubt it would lose power vs the stock intake.

Livernois confirmed 22whp gain from an intake, obviously the intake can benefit.

I said my intercooler is sized properly for the SHO and that this intake system seems to work well with it. You are the one that is coming off as hostile and negative in regards to Curtis's car modifications. I'm not forcing anyone to buy anything, he reached out to me. Ultimately it is his car and he will build it the way he wants to. His current total car modifications make good power, he's checked with AJPturbo, and the intake does make power combined when combined with this front mount intercooler setup. As long as Curtis is happy with his car modifications I don't see what the issue is Easton.

You can't use a company's dyno on their own products..... This should be obvious, unless of course you are in the market for a bridge.

Aaron, you claim everyone is hostile towards you.....

100% thermal efficiency intercooler eh? Should make an article on it!

How is 20-30 degrees above ambient 100% thermal efficient?
I attached the quote for you to read and even bolded it for you.

Its not really possible to cool air colder than ambient, but you can def get it equal to ambient or within 5 degrees when moving.

2nd law of thermal dynamics still exists in this alternate timelime...

My datalog shows it equal to ambient at wot, my tuner says it is also. I showed you guys how to get there with what setup. Now have at it. I posted proof, now disprove me against my setup.
I also have a trick that got the turbos to run cooler at full boost.

Also @SuperPete did a similar intake early last year, albeit closer to the turbos, and said it increased his intake temps. So pardon my skepticism and all it's just not the first time it's been done and some pretty outrageous claims being made lol

This is not even the same comparison Jordan. Different size piping flow area, different size filter flow area, and different intake filter placement.

Thats why i said on page one to someone, there is a way to improve stock turbos that dosnt involve increasing size on anything. Just lots of digging through my engineering books, and trial and error. Thermal camera mounted under my car before and after saw a huge difference in temps. I was suprised at how hot they got quick, fixed that though.
Those secrets stay with me, maybe ill share them with people who compete with their cars...
As im not trying to sell anything

Might be why I said similar but okay I can see this is going to devolve into regular Aaron talk down once again so bye bye

part sizing and configurations qualifies as talk down to other members these days?

This seems to be the most close minded open minded group as of late. Your allowed to have an opinion as long as it’s the popular one, but if it varies from that or if you fab your own parts lookout.

here’s a good read with data to back up the theory.

Interesting read with decent user input. The underlying issue is still them dyno products they want to sell.... Need independent results. Then the next issue is stock airbox is.... Better?

The only ones who never believe the results are the guys who spent tons of money on CAIs. Starting intake temps at the filter intake have very little to do with your ending temps at the manifold. The turbos will heat air up to a very high level. The deciding factor in your IATs at your intake manifold is the efficiency of your intercooler. You could have the best Cold Air Intake ever engineered and have similar IATs as a guy with $10 Menards special if their intercoolers are the same.

Dollar for dollar a drop-in is better, but if you have to weight reduce your wallet, buy meth.
