Oh me oh my please help.

Today I walked up to my car and the powerlocks were constantly locking. The locks were locked and all four motors were running. I pulled position 14 fuse, and still no luck the damn locks kept going.

I disconected the battery for now.

I figure its one of two things.
1. The drivers door switch is bad.
2. there is a problem with my remote starter.

I am working on it tommorow. Any other suggestions?

Thank You
Bluto

it could be a contact on either the right or left door. if it has the keyless entry it could be messed up as well. try unplugging each door switch and see if tha stops it if not and if you have the keyless entry try unhooking it. its under the back dash

Any hint to its location or look. I am not sure where the "back dash" is.
Thanks

The back dash is the rear deck. Where the rear speakers are located. The keyless entry is in the trunk on the driver side strut tower I believe. Its a black box. Underneath the lining in the truck.

The PDL motors are supplied via the 40A fuse in the engine compartment FB. It is marked "LCK/PWR SEAT". The circuit breaker mounted in position 14 is for the power windows, not the locks.

Unplug the RKE module. As described, it is mounted to the back of the rear sear, behind the cardboard cover along with the amps. If the problem is eliminated, the RKE is defective.

If the lock motors still run, one of the front door switches is stuck in the "LOCK" position.

FWIW, my 2000 Navigator did this. I suspect someone spilled a sticky beverage in it at some point before I bought it.
